JOB OPPORTUNITY - Virtual Assistant
Position Overview
​
We seek a highly organized and tech-savvy Virtual Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the mission of Practical Missions Cohort (PMc) by managing administration, communications, media content, digital marketing, and social media. The Virtual Assistant will work closely with PMc leadership to enhance ministry operations, promote outreach efforts, and strengthen community engagement.
​​Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:

Email & Inbox Management
- Field, organize, and respond to incoming emails.
​
Community Group Support​
- Help manage the PMc Online Community Group, The Italian Cohort.
Donor Relations​
- Manage donor correspondence, thank-you notes, and support inquiries.
Missionary Onboarding​
- Communicate with short-term missionary cohort applicants.
- Assist with onboarding interns and long-term missionaries.
Meeting Coordination​
- Record and distribute meeting minutes.
Database Management​
- Coordinate with the PMc bookkeeper to ensure up-to-date records are kept.
Operations Manual Development​
- Assist in creating systems, how-to documents, and instructional videos.

Note: To fulfill this position, you must raise funds (through PMc) as a missionary or ministry worker. Much of this work could be done while still abiding Stateside, but the ideal would be to relocate to Italy as a full-time missionary.
​​Additional Potential Responsibilities
Media & Content Creation:​​
Newsletters
- Draft 2-3 email updates per month with ministry updates, prayer requests, and PMc content for edification (blog posts, podcast episodes, courses, quotations).
- Create and publish quarterly newsletters on the PMc website.
Website Management​
- Update courses, blog posts, cohort dates, and member access.
- Manage email subscriptions and follow up with new contacts.
- Respond to inquiries via email.
Content Creation (using tools like Canva and Notion)​
- Design memes, webinar slides, thumbnails, and promotional materials.
- Edit AI transcriptions for blog posts and format for publication.
- Create PMc e-books and digital resources.
Social Media Management​
- Oversee and grow social media presence on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Schedule, post, and engage with followers.
Digital Marketing & Recruiting​
- Develop promotional and recruiting content (videos, flyers, and pamphlets).
- Support marketing strategies to attract missionaries and donors.
Podcast Production​
- Create show notes, timestamps, and soundbite audiograms for social sharing.
- Assist in promoting PMc podcasts.
Video Editing (optional but preferred)​
- Clip and repurpose videos for social media and educational purposes.
- Add intros, outros, and b-roll to videos as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or similar role.

Strong skills in writing, communication, and digital tools (e.g., Canva, Notion, website platforms).

Proficiency in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.

Familiarity with email marketing tools and digital marketing strategies.

Basic video and audio editing experience is a plus.

Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
